FFVII - LLNMNI Challenge - Gi Nattak

LL = Low Level (limit = 29)
NM = No Materia
NI = No Items

Without materia and items, there's no cheap way around this battle, so his 5500 HP must be depleted to zero the traditional way this time. This isn't a huge problem, as his attacks are all weak, but it sure takes a while. In addition, he's got a Drain attack, so you will have to deal closer to 7000 damage.

First of all, yeah, I went back to the world map after the last Stinger and got Fury on Cloud and Red again. It's not necessary, but it makes the battle last a little shorter. All you have to do is attack and let Aerith heal whenever she gets a limit break.

Since all of Gi Nattak's attacks are pathetic, the chance of dying is really low. I even kept Aerith in front row for a while, to make sure I could deal as much damage as possible. Too bad she can only deal max damage when both the Soulfires have possessed someone. That is also the only time you should use Meteorain, to make sure Gi Nattak takes all the hits. The second one had to be used immediately, though. Of course, Gi Nattak only took two out of six hits.

How did you manage to get metorain without leveling up? Can you use the limits and kill cloud off, getting the limit but not the exp or what? Have beaten this gamme several times, and would like to do this challenge.

By fighting Mono Drives in Sector 7. With three enemies per battle, you must fight 105 battles and you will level up to 14. Needless to say, it takes a while and is very tedious.

If you've never done a challenge before, I wouldn't really recommend this one. It can be way more frustrating than fun, and the battles aren't really that hard. I'd recommend LLNM instead.

Do you add up the damage you've done while you're fighting on a calculator or something to know when you can land the final blow?

Yeah, I use a calculator. The one on my cell phone, to be exact, which is the one I've used for every challenge I've ever done. Yeah, I have an old phone.

Good thing I have to play on half speed. Otherwise, I would have had to pause the game every time I dealt damage and then edited out all the pauses afterwards.

I have a phobia of Gi Nattak...I hate that part where the statue of him moves,everytime when i replayed the game during when i was 5-10 years old,when i reached that part i would quickly tap the button and hide my face with a pillow..i was that scared..and i still am Oo

@Feathony Yes. That's how you get a level 8 Cloud with Omnislash (for example).

GTG if you someone use Cloud in the battle to kill 5 enemies out of six and make Cloud kill himself and finish battle with some other character, would Clouds get the kills which makes him closer to next limit break?
