Harvest Moon: Magical Melody - Dolphin's Island (of Happiness?)

Disclaimer: This video has no relation to the game "Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness." =P Just the island, on Harvest Moon: Magical Melody.

On the left (western) side of Moonlight Beach, you'll see a pier along the shore. There will be a dolphin in the water at the end of the pier. Befriend the dolphin by waving to it, and/or giving it fish (even cheap stuff like Blowfish work). Its heart level will be monitored on the same page as that of all other wild animals. When it reaches one heart, an option box will pop up the next time you wave to it, prompting you to ride. The first visit to the island it rides you to earns you the "Island Note."

But, you know, technically, she didn't arrive on "new soil"; she arrived on new rock. And when she got the Musical Note, she had actually only arrived on new wood. ...Yeah. xP

The island, as you can see, isn't as exciting as it sounds. There are some good, rarer fish that you can catch there, but there's not much else to do.

My favorite thing about this scene is the framing of the note-getting. It's so perfect with the ocean backdrop and no distractions around - a good, pretty clip to use in tribute videos. =3

I was motioning for my mom to jump back on the dolphin and leave the island after "exploring" it so I could get that on tape too... but she didn't. x_x That's okay though, I guess. It's the same as getting there, pretty much, only seen from the back.

Hey! It's Ray's birthday here!! ^^ Fall 27. I don't remember if she gave him a present while she was there, but she better have. Ray and/or Jamie, by the way, can sometimes be found fishing on the island.

You need to have the GameCube version of the game.

HM: Magical Melody was originally released in North America for the GameCube. It was then rereleased for the Wii, but with the female player character option removed. If you have the Wii version of the game, then sorry -- there is no way to play as a girl.

Fish, fish, and more fish. xP Go fishing in the delta (between the river and the sea) frequently, and every day just give it the lamest little catch of the bunch, and it'll probably like most of them all the same. ^^ It'll even respond to a Blowfish (otherwise shipped for a measly 3G) with 3 swirling hearts around the head, the highest possible love! And for an extra bonus, wave to it once a day (press A with nothing in hand when it's in front of the pier) for a few additional heart points.

You can give fish to them untill they get two or more hearts.
