I think the best thing for cradle cap is natural oils. Mama Nature's coconut and olive baby oil is fantastic. A little on the expensive side for my liking but it is 100% natural and you only use a small drop so it lasts a while. Great for skin care and for putting a few drops in the baby's bath.
