One new thing for 2012 - PCMA is working very closely with Centerplate, the center's caterer, to be sure we are using as much locally sourced food as seasonably possible. Chef Jeff Leidy, the head chef at the center, has been working with a number of farms in San Diego within 100 miles (part of the 100 Mile Club) to actually plant specifically for our meeting. Chef works closely with the PCMA Meetings Team to ensure that expectations are met and exceeded, and he and his team will be available during Tuesday's Farmers Market lunch at Convening Leaders to explain the farm to table concept his team practices.
