I wish the show had been more like this. After NPH won Best Performance by a Human Male, I couldn't watch it anymore. Nathan Fillion should've been the host and Dane Cook could go to hell.

The entire vga didnt make sense. somehow mass effect 2 won Xbox 360 Game of the year. Doesnt halo reach have its own custom console? controller? Isnt halo the reason why some people even have an xbox 360? Doesnt Halo reach have the deepest story of any fps released? The amazing soundtrack?

They didn't even announce Star wars Battlefront 3!!

That's why Microsoft valued halo above mass effect anyway. Halo is xbox.

How did this not win best soundtrack? That violin solo is killer!!!!! The VGAs was a complete joke. They shut down doors to games that should've deserve an awards.

To make it even worse, the damned game isn't even an xbox 360 exclusive. What kind of sense does it make to name the game 360 GOTY then?

That's like saying Gears 3 is PS3's GOTY this year.

@DEATHBYFLYINGCDS Well, I still say that Reach should have won. Reason why is because, when Halo 1 was released, the game became xbox's killer app, almost instantly. And it still is. Nothing has replaced it yet. Not gears of war, and neither is left 4 dead.

What is taken into account then? The length of the campaign? The amount of characters? Mass Effect 2 was 360 game of the year, somehow, when the game didn't even have as high of a review as Reach did. IDK who they have judging but theyre dumb

@ClusiveC As any case of blue balls can tell you, anticipation is no guarantee of delivery, or quality. The judges have to be unbiased in their decision, which means the number of fans, and the amount of attention it receives CANNOT be taken int account. Just look at all the hype that surrounded star wars episode 1's release. I hate to keep using star wars as an example but they are the masters of great productions and horrible let downs.

@DEATHBYFLYINGCDS Either way, the majority rules. The more fans you have, the better your game must be. Majority is siding with Halo, rather than Mass Effect.

Even still, taking Franchise out of the factor, Halo Reach should have still won. The game was easily more anticipated than ME2 was. More updates. More stuff to do, as far as gameplay goes. The game attracted way more attention than ME2, even though Mass effect is a really big franchise. VGA 2010 was stupid, point blank.
