I don't care what name is on the tent, I seal the seams before I take the tent for an outing. Think about it. The needle HAS to be bigger than the thread used to sew the pieces together. So the thread cannot seal that hole.
Seam sealer goes in, expands the thread a bit, and seals the rest of the hole.
Use it originally and once every year after and you will NOT get leaks even in the cheapest of tents.

Leaking?? Outwell Montana tents NEVER leak, regardless of which year you buy!!

Please people, ignore what people say about these leaking, but make sure you buy a 2007, they used the wrong kind of needle and the tents leak, so make sure you get 2008 and youll be fine
