This is a video clip from the DVD program "Storm Chase 1990-1992 by Robert Prentice."

This was one of many tornadoes which occurred in north central Kansas on June 15, 1992. This poorly documented outbreak ranks as one of the greatest storm chase events of all time with a rotating cluster of supercells producing multiple tornadoes as it moved east across the Smokey Hills of Kansas.

This tornado was shot from the junction of US Highway 24 and Kansas Highway 194, about 1 mile north of Simpson, Kansas. This tornado (and many others this day) were never properly documented in the official National Weather Service database.
