  • Krásná árie v podání krásné Milady Šubrtové.Beautiful woman and beautiful árie.

  • Milada will be in our hearts forever. R.I.P.

  • First time I listen to this fine artist and it feels like a revelation. Her voice is beautiful and her perfromance flawless. Certainly I will check all her recordings. Long live Subrtova!

  • A fine soprano whose repertoire was large and varied, from coloratura to lyric and dramatic, Gilda, Constanze, Sieglinde, Abigaile, Lady Macbeth etc. Fortunately she recorded complete operas by Dvořák, Janáček, and Smetana.

  • Dear Addi, I bemoan the fact that I have never heard this singer before. Her

performance of "Song to the Moon" reveals her deep femininity and superb

artistic expression. The emotional power and longing in this timeless aria

are communicated with sublime musicianship, conviction and profound understanding of the composer's inspiration. All images and photos are

beautifully and sensitively presented as always. Thank you for posting and

to paulostroff99 for sharing. A treasure!

  • Rest in peace

  • A great soprano, Rest in pace.

  • Unfortunately I did not hear of her before, she has a lovely voice.

Rest in peace, dear Milada Subrtova.

  • This time not only her voice but also she rises to the moon to say: "Silver moon upon the deep dark sky, / Through the night pierce your rays Vast. / This sleeping world you wonder by ..." while we feel that her presence, felt through her voice, shall watch as the moon, eternal, everlasting..

  • Merci Addi de ce message, comme c'est triste !

Paix à cette belle dame ...
