This is a tutorial on how to install Fission ROM on the Droid 2 and Droid X using Fission ROM Manager. Your phone needs to be rooted in order to do this.

More information about Fission ROM and all the files you need to be downloaded can be found here:

  • Does this work for the Global too?

  • @patrickhoc Fission ROM Manager no longer works. The team and server supporting it no longer supports the project.

  • how do i install upgrades and addons and new themes then is it the same process i restore then clear cache and data ?

  • @XboxIsLegit Yeah... download, then install. Don't need to clear cache/data for themes though.

  • @kev0475 so i for instance if i were to get the fission 2.4.3 upgrade install i would use the dont wipe option and i dont need to backup?

  • @XboxIsLegit It depends on how big of an upgrade. I definitely would create a back-up though.

  • light version not working on droid global, do I need paid version. everything done as instructed , I get a looping startup animation that reads "Android", I cleared cache... still stuck.

  • Not to be a pedant but "queue" is pronounced just like the letter "Q" not "key", with the small text and actual keys at the bottom it may avoid confusion to clear that up. But thanks just rooted and flashing.
