Saturday, March 8th 2008. During a weekend storm that battered the coast with heavy rain and high winds, this Cape May troller "Star2" ran aground on a Wildwood Crest beach at Denver Road.

  • Yes, after more than three days and several failed attempts they finally freed the boat from the sand on Tuesday, March 11.

    they were unable to reach the harbor when the storm hit due to engine cutting off, then drifted right into the beach next to the harbor entrance, one more mile and they were safe
