Can the US continue to support the Saleh regime? If it can't, does it give free rein to Al-Qaeda? Should NATO consider another no-fly zone? And are we already witnessing a civil war in Yemen? CrossTalking with Mohamed Qubaty, Ambassador Newton and John Rees.

  • yemen is not important

  • The Yemeni thinks he can apply for military assistance, and a no-fly zone is that; using jets/choppers to keep others out of the sky, like its some welfare service. Who is going to put their equipment, personnel,&technology at the disposal of any faction b/c its a nice thing to do? Those things are used by govts. to defend themselves&conquer for benefit. Mohamed is dreaming. NO, wait, he should be incharge of the entire operation. just make him a general of the US f-15s&apache choppers.

    thanks.

  • deal with the problems with the us before we try to solve other countries problems......

  • @VexZeed Yeah you're right, what you said was saudi arabia was giving supplies to yemen when it was USA and russia. Also you're forgetting about china which is a huge supporter of military arms to yemen.

  • The question right now is,who's side is the US government on?Al-Qaeda or the Yemeni government?

  • @thelegendarylord Yemen had an arms deal with Russia a while ago for $1billion in arms which includes tanks & jets. The US doesn't provided that much to Yemen mainly training & military equipment for counter-terrorism. Most recently the US supplied a few Huey helicopters for counter-terrorism.

  • @VexZeed No actually Yemeni government gets most military equipment from Russia, china and north korea. Saudi arabic barely sells weapons to Yemen.

  • @wikifacts Yemen is the model for what the West will look like, the middle east is changing rapidly while the West is decreasing.Yemen was once a prosperous nation and pne of the most advanced in the world but look at it now.Thats how america will be like in a few decades if you guys dont do anything.

  • I am no trying to make fun of yemen but the country has not changed for thousands of years, even the new buildings look prehistoric also the country of Yemen will never be developed so long as Somalia is undeveloped and saudi arabia keeps on supporting the terrorist regime.Yemens needs a freaking HItler who will make all Yemenis think they are superior and to make them develop their nation.Hitler who doesnt ethnically cleanse out people that is,You know like a good hitler.

  • excellent program that covered more of Yemen's issues than I've seen in the last six months of MSM coverage- Jane Novak
