Liquid Swords is the second solo studio album by American rapper and Wu-Tang Clan-member GZA, released November 7, 1995 on Geffen Records. It is considered to be one of the best Wu-Tang Clan solo albums along with Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.... The album went gold and was critically acclaimed for its lyrically complex and musically hypnotic style. The Chicago Tribune cited Liquid Swords as "one of the most substantial lyrical journeys in hip-hop history". In 1998, The Source magazine selected the album as one of its 100 Best Rap Albums.

  • i have to say,one of the sad parts of wutang clan is that inspectah deck never got a full length like this that the group as a whole could really take seriously

  • @Tical101 haha I wish me and my brother bumped this back in the day when we played with legos

  • My favorite track off Liquid Swords.

  • "I"m in the park, settin' up a deal over blunt fire"

  • only built for cuban links is better in my opinion, due to the range of sound on the album some of rza's best ever production and the presence of the other clansmen on tracks such as wu-gambinos and guillotine (swords), giving it a full and complete sound.... but lets face it the term classic can be applied to so many of the early wu albums as well as liquid swords and obfcl, ironman and tical included. never again will there be a rap team like this.

  • @byoshock

    This is to all, really.

The order of the listed tracks are incorrect, as they play on the CD.

The same is true for their Killa Bees, "The Swarm," album- the tracks and their numbers are listed in a different sequence than they actually play.

  • First heard this album in 97' when i was seven years old....playing with my little nephew building legos and my brother bumping this shit early in the morning....been hooked ever since

  • @WuTubeish It's their best album period to me and that's even if you include their Greatest Hits CD:):). This is the one Playa!!

  • @MegaTreeBark Possibly the greatest comment in history.

  • Classick!!!!
