This is one of my favorite illustration on how an unrighteous person stands perfectly righteous in God's sight forever!

Justification of Faith Alone (Soli Fide) is the very heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that determines whether a person or church stands or fall before God for all eternity! A must!

Soli Deo Gloria! (To God Alone Be The Glory!)

(This is an excerpt from R.C. Sproul's "What is the Gospel?" (Part 2)

  • I don't follow what I can't see, especially dead people. Religion has killed more people than atheists ever will. You want peace. Get rid of religion.

  • Great news! 2000 years ago, God demonstrated His love and mercy by sending his Son, Jesus, from heaven to earth to take upon Himself at the cross the wrath and punishment of God that we deserve for all of our sins. He rose from the dead to bring us peace with God. The moment we place our complete trust in Christ's finished work on the cross for the forgiveness of all of our sins, we will receive by grace the free gift of God's perfect righteousness that will covers us from now through eternity.

  • The Bible says we are saved by Grace through Faith, not Grace alone or Faith alone.

  • @theflarpus: Well said!

  • I think one of the things that makes, saved by grace alone, hard to accept is our pride. I want to be able to point to something in my life that I can say to the world...See, this is why God has chosen me to be in heaven. Its not all Him, I have something to offer as well.

  • this is the work of God that you believe on him whom he hath sent... God is good, he gives us faith to believe and so heals our soul.many are called home to glory, not for lack of faith, but thier time for eternal rest has sometimes come.

  • for without faith it is impossible to please God

  • I am really sorry to hear about your friend's illness. I will be praying for God to comfort and heal your friend of his or her cancer, but most all I will be praying for your friend's salvation. Perhaps you can send this video of the Gospel to your friend to bring for peace, comfort, and salvation.

    5/30/09:

***Attention to all brothers and sisters in Christ who is reading this, please pray to God for thejcrfactor's friend's cure from cancer and salvation****

  • I am confident and pray that God can also change your heart from unbelief to belief by the power of His sovereign will. To be reconciled to God, God must first convict us of our sins by His law which exposes and condemns us of our guilt before God. Then, God brings us to repentance and saving faith by His Gospel of amazing grace. The guilt of all of our sins is removed and remembered no more when God gives us the free gift of Jesus' perfect righteousness that covers our unrighteousness forever

  • Believe it or not, God does miracles everyday when sinners repent and believe in Jesus. The fact that anyone believes in Jesus is a miracle and sovereign work of God. Since everyone is born spiritually dead, blind, and deaf to the things of God due to their sinful nature, God, if He is willing, raises sinners from spiritual death to spiritual life eternal. God creates saving faith into our stony hearts just as He has created the world from nothing by the shear power of His commands.
