Kuwait Airways Riyadh to Bangkok

This is my experience flying with Kuwait Airways last 11 Sep 2010 from Riyadh to Bangkok with 10+hrs stopover in Kuwait. Any passenger with more than 8 hrs stop is entitled for a free accomodation at Safir Airport Hotel with buffet dinner, use of hotel facilities and free wifi. It's a small but clean & confortable hotel for a short stop. Better than staying at the outdated, messy & confusing main airport. KU planes are old and outdated, seat monitors mostly not functioning. Food and legroom is ok. Flights going to BKK is the same flight going to MNL. The flight was full and only 18 passengers disembark at Suvarnabhumi Airport at that time, myself included. But hey, what can you expect from the airline with the cheapest airfare?

Well it is good that KU is offering free accommodation even for Y class as many other airlines would not do the same. Sadly KU is not refurbishing their A340 aircraft.

Thanks for this video. do you access the hotel from the departure lounge or do you have to exit the airport to rech the hotel? how much does it cost? is it per day or hour blocks? How is the KU service? in-flight meals?

@whatthehell440 Sri Lanka is a really poor country but with an airline with excellent service..did Kuwait s oil run out??

@whatthehell440 Gulf air also have many outdated planes whete the seat monitors(PVC)don t work..you can have old planes but keep them in good condition and service malfunctions..British airways had some B747-200 that were nearly 30years old but in excellent coditions. When seat minotors don t work its because of sloopy maintanance not old planes.

The airplanes are outdated because Q8 is a poor country and can not afford to update their planes.
