Does anyone feel bad for Mel Gibson? Yea me neither. Poor guy's had a bad few years but I think its safe to say he kinda brought it on himself. He's still an amazing actor but can you blame a studio for not wanting to hire him and the crazy train that comes with?

That's probably what Warner Brothers is hoping to avoid if they are in fact developing a Mel-free Lethal Weapon 5. Kinda hard to tell if this is just a rumor since back in 08, director Richard Donner said another sequel was dead in the water, but then again it's Hollywood, and things here change minute to minute.

So heres what we're hearing. Apparently warner brothers thinks there is still life in the Lethal franchise and could be actually considering a reboot of the film instead of a sequel. The reboot comes into play in an attempt to avoid the aussie!

Which ignites the whole with Mel or without him debate but before that can even be hashed out, the film will first have to be rescued from development hell. Longtime WB Exec Jessica Goodman made her exit from the studio at the end of last year and Lethal, among others, was part of her portfolio of projects!
