Chaos Space Marines vs. The Imperium of Man (Imperial Guard and Space Marines) Battle Report

This battle took place on 5/12/2009. On a side note, may the people lost during 9/11 R.I.P. and my support goes out to the families that lost their loved ones. This is an objective game. Who will win? Will it be the great Imperium of Man or the power of Khorne. Blood for the Blood God and stuff :)

Is it just me or does it seem like most young Space Marine Players are the ones that are always loud/show off-ish and the young Guard Players are the quiet ones and seem shy. No offense if you are a Space Marine player, I'm just throwing this out there so I could be wrong

he deployed his full army in front of 2000 point imperial guard fire , he lost all vehicles (3 rhinos 1 landraider 1 preadator) , he didn´t even reached my frontlines , is lost about 7 Guardsmen , 35 points and he lost everything .... This was the last day i saw that kid , he never showed up again :D

That's like the GW I go to. There's one arrogant kid who said that "Necrons are useless and die in the third turn. I could easilly beat them with my Tyranids."

My guys : 20x warriors, 4x pariahs, 1x lord, 3x Destroyers.

His guys: Trygon prime, Tyranid prime, alot of gaunts.

First turn: He moved all his things closer and deepstriked his Trygon right next to my lord and a 10x warrior squad. It died.

Second turn, he got within rapid fire range and lost Synapse. His guys ran away.

@tallguy781 yeah cool, decided i definatly need a transport as my main opponent will be me mates tau who seem to enjoy blowing my models off the table with overpowered battlesuits and defilers are indeed awesome so i might take your advice if i get enough cash

@coreyschannel1995 I'd go for a Defiler or a land raider but that's just me. I know some people do use all infantry armies since they are more flexible but it never hurts to have a fast transport or some extra firepower. It's just more intimidating and you can use it to draw fire for a turn or two until you get within range with your infantry.

As a Chaos player who admittedly doesn't know much of the rules i have a question to ask. I'm not a tank person and so don't own any, I have 3 units of Marines, some bezerkers, A lord and some terminators, would it be a mistake to continue building my army with no transports and at most one tank
