vintage synth demo by RetroSound

Korg Polysix Analog Synthesizer from the year 1982

part2: some typical self programmed Polysix sounds

The Korg Polysix is a very nice analog synths with a great sound. The sound is very different to the Juno synths.
The sound-character of the SSM filter, the Effect Sektion with Chorus, Phaser and Ensemble is really fantastic.
!!! The internal Ni/Cd accu has a leakage problem and destroy the circuit board. Remove the accu quickly! Check my page for more info.

  • Echt tolle Demonstration, danke fürs hochladen. Bin ein absoluter 80'er Fan und spiele in einer kleinen Band, in der Art wie Depeche Mode.

  • @Drachenreiterklaus vielen dank! :)

  • sounds like some of the effects that were used in the Flash Gordon Movie in 1981.

was this synth ever used by the band QUEEN?

  • @cylonace

no. queen used the Oberheim OB-X in the soundtrack.

  • OOPS,

DUH, if I had read the f**in' screen I would have seen that it is.

Sorry folks, brain fart on my end.

  • As I may said on other videos...this is such a good sounding synthesizer. No it is not a super flexible modulation monster but it's sound is living and full of character. I fell in love with it imidiatly after the first listen. Really beautiful pads and unisono sounds, fine bells and rhodes timbres, nice basses...and a great analogue effect-section. If you feed the VCF Modulation Input with a fast LFO some crazy things are also possible. A true classic!

  • Un très joli son ce petit Korg

  • got 2 of these - Polysex is right

  • Love your videos please start uploading in HD so that the sound isn't as colored by the crap youtube compression. thanks love em!
