@Mourheartzz But there's one thing about that. In Silent Hill 2 you found the pistol in a shopping cart in a room full of bullet holes in the walls and doors. That's creepy justification for an average item.

This idea of no weapon really makes the game realistic. Well, I mean you don't randomly find a gun on the floor or kitchen bench in some other games. It just doesn't make sense without explanation.

the cell phone was a great idea. so was no weapons. it makes it scarier. i dont understand why people didnt like those ideas

I've always been the person who appreciated the deep, emotional, and connecting storyline in each silent hill game rather than graphics or gameplay. The story within each game is moving in it's own way and Shattered Memories is NO exception. However, it's a shame you can't tell how beautiful the story is until the end. It makes it hard to believe it'll be any good. But goodness, when you get there, it is such a worthwhile experience.

I'd have to disagree with his statement. If anything I think the newspaper scraps and other document only add to the depth and immersion

I was absolutely fascinated by the Silent Hill 1, 2, 3, 4 and Homecoming. Each with little pieces of the true story of Silent Hill (and surroundings). But, it looks to me that they're starting to alienate the original.

Is this true? Are they re-imaging the entire series or just this game for the Wii? Because that would be damned shame. Silent Hill has like one of the most compelling concepts of all. I'd REALLY love to know more about Silent Hill, but with that I mean the original Silent Hill.

It's not supposed to be the same- I'm assuming you haven't actually played the game, at least all the way through, because you haven't been blown away yet... I think if you appreciate SH for its story and symbolism (but not always voice acting), not only the gameplay then you will likely enjoy Shattered Memories. Slick controls, great graphics, amazing story. Good change of pace. Well worth a buy, or borrow it..
