If you drop your music track on your video track, it will put your music underneath as a green bar. Click the green bar so it is highlighted, then right click where you want it to stop. Click "split clip." It will split the music track so you can drag the second half to where you want it to start again.

when i click on the music note there is nothing that says itunes. i really wanna put music from itunes on but i cant figure out how

I just checked on my computer and iTunes is an option right under the two folders of iMovie and iLife sound effects and jingles. I'm not exactly sure why yours wouldn't have your iTunes library available, I'll try to look into it more.

Have you tried adjusting the audio settings for the music track, increasing the play time? Sometimes it automatically fits it to the video (or title) track. Also, try dropping the music track in so it fills behind the video and title tracks. If you do it this way, the music will play continuously through titles, transitions, etc. Let me know if that helps.

Fuck iMovie! :( I want to start right now. I want the song to start part way through, and I want to be able to change audio. And fuck Final Cut, too, because I can't record straight to it from my iCam. iFuck everything! :(

I just used iMovie HD instead because you had more options what you wanted to do with the music.

@billhamlin08 Sorry to bother you a few years later... How do you overlap a sound fx and a song? I'm trying to fade out a sound affect over a song... If that makes sense. One green underlying bar isn't green.... it's purple

hey can you tell me how this happened: I wanna download a song from itunes into the video but it keeps saying this: "Sound Files cannot be imported rom the event Library"

How do I make this go away so I can put music into it!??
