i was working for this company for 7yrs they had start me @ 15 per hour work my way up 20 an hour then one day they decided to lay me off i been out of work for 2yrs two months now my benifits ran out this sept n still cant find a job not even a minumun wage job wich i dont want that after the money i was making now i dont know what im going to do

was wrongfully terminated from the federal goverment after 23 years. They asked me to quit but I told them that I'm not quitting because I haven't done anything wrong. They just kept writing me up but ignored everyone else just so they could fire me. It hurts that I lost my job but it hurts even worse that it was due to discrimination. I filed a lawsuit and come to find out I can't sue them for the wrongful termination. They had to admit to the discrimination but there is nothing I can do.

It has been 1 1/2 years for me and the people at my unemployment center in Hillsboro Oregon do not care and do not have a program like this you can go to. All you hear over there at Willow Creek is that there are no jobs and that they are tired of 800-900 people going there a day. They talk in the bathroom and say there are NO JOBS. The truth of the matter is that there are no jobs in Oregon. I have been to almost 200 places and no one will hire me because I am in a walker. This was not my falt.

I hate being laid off I just want to go back to work and not for a big pay cut I worked my ass off to get the high pay and then I get laid off because Comcast cable wanted to buy out NBC,ABC, then they needed money so they start laid off over 9000 employee's and At&t is doing it also again with laid offs with people being there for 3months to 30 yrs and they say Comcast and At&t cares about family and they also tell you that family come's first and they will help your family and it is all lies!

1 Ronald Reagan -REPUBLICAN 3.5 years of unemployment.

2 Gerald Ford -REPUBLICAN 3.2 years of unemployment.

3 George Bush2004 -REPUBLICAN 3 years of unemployment.

Yet like the hypocrites they are they call it welfare when Obama wants it to be longer than 1.9 years! Even though they where not dealing with the worst collapse since WWII. They are doing this to sabotage the recovery, to get elected in November.

And if your subject is as clueless as this woman appeared why would you not focus your questions on the job center employee? You know the woman who might be able to answer questions about job searches, placements, total number of job seekers per job opening?

The best solution is to run for president. If you win the race, you can send your wife and 40 friends to the best resort in Europe, despite the bad economy and unemployment rate, but you have to be a Democrat, otherwise, you have no heart and no love for the little guy.

This story is NOT typical of long-term unemployed. Most search daily for jobs,& the over-age-40 crowd r told repeatedly they r OVERQUALIFIED. Although they try, they can't find job. Age discrimination is rampant in job market. Suicides & crime r already happening,to enable them to feed thr families. This video does not show the desperation of those really searching for employment without a car or money for gas, walking to job interviews daily, only to be turned down.
