@kopac15 Yeah, I was gonna say, what's so beautiful about a place that has 3 tall smoke stacks?????

Morro Bay is a great place. My wife and I stayed at the Marina Street Inn during our honeymoon in 1999.

I LOVE Morro Bay. I used to Live in Los Osos, which is about 5 miles south of MB. Every day on my way home from work I would stop at the rock with my windows down and listen to the waves. I miss it.

I lived in Los Osos (south bay) in Jr High. A great place with great memories.

I live there half time, and it has gone downhill.
But when you live the other half in Visalia, CA, it's no competition. haha

I visited Morro Bay last week and I have to say what a desapointment: The ugly powerplant next to the bay, the smell of raw sewage, and the herd of people was short of terrible.

why do you love it so much?
As a child I used to loathe this place. I thought it was so boring growing up there. My friends and I had to 'make do' with what this little town gave as. As a young adult I look back and compare my childhood with my peers' and I realize that my childhood was much more special BECAUSE we didnt have big malls, fancy hang outs, or big-name outlets. I wouldn't have wanted my childhood any other way. Morro Bay is the best damn place in the world, and I love it. Thanks for this video.

paladinangelo, well said. It would be an ideal place to grow up IMHO.
Cheers

my home....it was a great place when it was unknown, uncontaminated by tourists, when it was a true fishing village. some 30 years ago the terrible transformation started and continues today. i still love it, but don't go into town until the winter when vestiges of the old days are still around.

I know what it was like. My family is from Paso Robles and I spent many summers in Morro Bay.
