iPhone 4 + Blender = iDust - More fun with Xplode and MoDynamics

Playing around with some more with the Xplode plugin, and MoDynamics (part of the Mograph 2 module).

Everything was done in Cinema 4D.

You'll have to excuse the low quality sound effects.

Total render time was around 20 hours or so.

working on modeling a garage door opening and closing... seems simple, yet having a hard time ... seems like lots of ways to go about it ... any advice which direction I should go?

How loaded is your computer ... my Mac is a quad-core with 8 gigs ram ... to do stuff like yours ... what do I need? Your work is very impressive.

@primarymusicusa Im using a dual quad (8-core), 4 gigs ram. You shouldnt have any trouble doing this type of work.

Not like an accordian ... more just lifting up and the 5 individual pannels following a rail system up to a resting place parallel with ceiling. tried to align a cloner object with a spline with no success ... then I "spline wrapped" 5 individual pannels with a spline and offesetting them with some success. I just know there must be an easier way that I haven't discovered yet.
