I just passed this test and have no pain at all main becomed a little hard and a feeled pain I have gone to the doctor and he used the method as its used there but he said that it can be back again and we should cut it

@onedayillbehisfriend it will NOT progress to cancer. Whacking it with a spoon to break the cyst invites its recurrance. If a ganglion cyst becomes painful or inhibits motion, it should be removed by a physician. If left untreated, it can continue to grow until it does never or compartment damage.

Aspiration is only successful in 50% of people. Excision is the better way to go. I have one on my left wrist and im getting it excised soon

mines not painful. it's hard. i've smashed it about 5 times already and it's always come back. can i just leave it like it is? or is it susceptible to cancer?

OUCH!!!!!!! I have not heard of a gangloin cyst turning into cancer...not unless there is color to it. But you should have a Dr. look at it and determine if it is indeed a cyst. If it is painful just being there..you should have it checked out too.

yes I could feel it, especially if the needle went past the cyst. OUCHIE. But all in all the pain was tolerable with only 3 shots of whiskey. ha ha

i'm not a doctor but when he was pulling and pumping that syringe was that dangerous, i mean if he sucked some air into that syringe and then pumped that air into her wrist couldn't that of been dangerous because injecting air into someone can kill them

Air injected into a vein can be dangerous...but it takes a large amount to kill someone. I am sure some air went into my cyst. I know that it has grown even larger since we tryed extracting it. UGH. It needs to be scraped out. OUCH.
