@neidemarcella68 I hope this catches you in time. The absolute best way to achieve a 6.0 in speaking and listening is to practise speaking as much as possible with native speakers (or very good non-native speakers) and listening to authentic materials (e.g. BBC World Service programmes). Good luck in the exam!

@pedrohissa3 Some people undoubtedly find IELTS a lot easier than FCE - and indeed CAE. In fact, I think it comes somewhere between these two exams.

This was much easier than FCE and CAE tests...

Hi Ian , in 2 weeks i have to do the ielts test , i am so nervous , i studied in london 9 months 2 years ago, when i stoped to study my level was B1 , but i lived there 2years more , do you think i am able to get score 6.0 in speaking and listening ? what can i do to get score 6 , this score is ok for my target. thanks neidemarcella
OMG, then why had I been studying TOEFL as there was a test which was much easier. It's like a kinder-garden exam. :)

@quliyevresad I think that may be an oversimplification, quliyevresad, but I share your view that it's a lot better than TOEFL. I was never a big fan of multiple-choice exams - what exactly do they test anyway? At least in the IELTS you get to show what you can do.

Thank you so much. It helped me a lot.
By the way, how long before before playing the audio, the question paper is given to the examinee? Actually I want to quickly read the whole question paper before listening to the audio. Is that possible?

@tensorbundle You do get a little bit of time to read through the paper, but a lot of the time the questions don't make any sense until you've heard the recorded introduction. Normally, the person speaking on the recording will say "You now have some time to look at questions 1 to 6" (or similar). Provided you use your eyes wisely, and observe what kind of answer they're looking for, you get plenty of time.

hii i would like to know whether this is an academy or general test?
paparacit17 2 months ago
@paparacit17 The listening and speaking tests are the same for both Academic and General Training.
