  • @TheApachebulldog Why is that?

  • i have a question how many minutes a day do i do this

  • i like the little random puppy walking around in back

  • Interesting... Watch my video and notice I never train with treats

  • @cupcakewhorexo Heres a technique; Put the dog on the leash. Wait for her to sit down naturally. When she does say "SIT" and give her a treat. Do repeatedly. 10-30 times. Next say "SIT' (only once) when she responds correctly give treat and repeat until she does it immediately every time.

Practice the sit command daily for about two weeks. If she become disinterested in the treats you can use her favorite toy, or practice before her feeding time.

  • I wish these "professional trainer" people would actually find a dog who doesn't already sit. The truth is if your dogs doesn't know sit yet he probably hasn't had any previous training and would not be acting so calm and politely. An untrained dog will most likely jump on you licking and nipping at your hand if you held a treat in front of him like that.

  • @TTR125Rider1995 She is not retarded, just lazy.

  • this doesnt work at all for my dog, when i hold the treat above her she will just move her body back wards and try to get it rather than sitting her butt down

  • @TTR125Rider1995 I have a hard time believing your dog is retarded. When a dog, especially a lab, is having a hard time learning what you want, the vast majority of the problem is the trainer, not the dog. Nothing against you personally, I'm just saying that it's very common and that there is hope. Don't give up and do some research on good techniques. Don't forget, many dogs learn differently.
