Yes, it's also called a C1 or Canoe 1 person. If a kayak is wide enough it can be changed into a C1 by taking out the seat and adding knee straps so that while you kneel in the boat you can have the same control as a kayak. Very difficult to roll a C1.

Missed his boof, hope he didn't hit the rock that's on the left there and break his boat. I wouldn't run spout in a fiberglass boat so kudos there.
