1.- He came from a Pre-Crisis reality, then he posseses all absurd, overpowered characteristics of his Silver Age counterparts.
2.- He was imbued with Alexander Luthor's anti-matter powers. Thanks to that he can absorb more solar energy than regular kryptonians, making him even more powerful.

You know all the comments I read about goku beating superman and Superman beating goku. How come Nobody every brings T.O.A.A into the picture he would take them both out instantly and I know alot of you are gonna be like who the hell is that? He's from the Marvel Universe (The One Above All)

@daveyboi03 He is freed by members of the Sinestro Corps when they make a surprise attack on the Green Lantern's. He needed the help due to the fact that red sun he was under drained most his power.
