  • ugh, i miss my hometown, but i don't miss those hurricanes at all!!!!!!! it's been years since i haven't gone back to visit.

  • Omg is everyone ok? We got the wind and rain but is everyone else alright?:o

  • We Survived another Hurricane, Thank God. The United States Virgin Islands homes are well built. After September 1989 when we got hit from Hurricane Hugo, we learnt a valuable lesson. That lesson was simply to build stronger. I would say that 98% of the home's on St. Croix are built of cinder blocks lined with steel rebar and then filled with cement, the roofs are then tied in by steel brackets & rapped with the rebars, Screws are now used, in place of nails. The Mainland U.S. need to take notes

  • Yar!

Kind of scary stuff, hope it doesn't hit too hard. Keep us all posted!
