You're a genius! Just the video I was looking for. I'm swapping mine out this weekend. Thanks a lot!

hey, I have a serious issue, I installed a new hard drive, because I thought that old one was faulty, but it turns out that the issue is bigger, the new hard drive was working, but now the computer wont recognize it. I know it is not the new hard drive, because i put it in an external enclosure, and it booted up perfectly. Can someone please tell me what is wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Which specific drive did you put in there. I' having trouble finding info about whether 7200RPM drives are supported in 13" macbook pros. Some are saying apple says not to do it due to temperature and heating issues. Have you noticed it running hotter or louder?

@brandobean You can put any drive in there, they are all compatible. I personally don't notice any increased noise at all and I don't notice it running hotter either.
