Senior Team Kata practice Mar08

We have not practiced team kata in nearly 18 months due to changes in life, only tried once in the summer, but this was a session just to see if we could keep some sort of timing, NOT so much technique, etc.

Any tips and advice are welcome.

@comscom like it says dude, been 18 months since we'd practiced but it was end of winter and the ground was soft, lumpy and slippery, so we were focusing more on remembering each other's timing rather than perfecting technique

Around 0:32 you do an inside block but im in new york i don't know if your sensei might have ought you that but good luck at the KUGB Tourny for team kata you guys a re good though. W00T im going for my black belt in march of 09

Thanks, this was almost a year ago now :) I am not sure if different styles of karate have different moves in kata but this is how we were shown by a variety of instructors. Not sure of spelling but the way we do it in this vid is choku tsuki, touch chest, uchi uke. Good luck with your black belt :)

thx also probably with the translation of the moves here to different countries also it could be the way the belts are given here im gonna list them White- standard it the sme as yours yellow- Heian Shodan orange- Heian Nidan green-Heian Sandan blue- Heian Yondan purple-Heian Godan for brown belt we have three katas to get black 1. Niju shiho 2. the kata you are doing in the video (Bassai Dai) 3. haungetsu black - Kanku Dai, Kanku Sho, Empi , Unsu and others
