Mega Man's creator Doctor Thomas Light is blamed for a robotic rampage and Dr. Wily himself has no apparent connection to it (even showing a video of Dr. Light declaring world domination and Dr. Wily refusing to follow him), announcing that he needs donations to complete the robots he created to combat those of Dr. Light. Mega Man (with the Protoman's help)must fight to prove his creator's innocence and expose Wily's true intentions. Exactly, Doctor Albert Willy need more robots for complete the creation of a killer robot called Zero. Megaman will must confront to this Dr. Willy's masterpiece.

  • @Predatoroid

Popular belief says Evil Zero/Omega killed them after killing Wily

  • @Kingofcolor It could be canon, because in the Zero series, they said that there was a cyber elf war and OMEGA was the enemy, so that could tell us why zero's body is different than in the X series and why in megaman zero 3 his real body is manipulated by Weil

  • Will CAPCOM tell us, what the hell happened between the classics and X series??, and what happened with roll, protoman and bass??

  • @TheCrayonboxStudios Reread my comment. Then reply to me

  • @aznguyjimmy Can you even read the title?

    It sez Megaman 9

    not x9.

Anything that results in Zero being dead doesn't work out if MMZ is canon (which it is), but every ending of X5 kills Zero off without mentioning how he comes back and gets sealed. Capcom thought the fans would be confused by this conflicting information, so they made MMX6 to show Zero coming back. I'm not sure if I can accept X7 and X8 as my personal interpretation of canon (even though I think Axl is cool), but I consider X6 to be canon, even if no one else does.

  • @B4ULoveShine One of the reasons Capcom did MMX6 was because the Zero series (which was already being worked on at the time) had parts that didn't seem to make sense if the X series ended at MMX5: Zero was SEALED, not dead (even though his body wasn't the original, he still wasn't dead). It mentions Zero fighting in the elf wars alongside X. There are a few others, but I won't be able to fit them all here.

  • @mmmmmarcus If only Capcom allowed Inafune to give the Classic saga resolution (an actual ending and bridge to the X saga), we won't have this exhausting conversation.

    Yeah, thanks for the correction.

  • @B4ULoveShine "one of the most popular theories is robofluenza was the precursor to the Maverick virus" that's not correct. Dont you remember rockman 8? Furthermore, there are two viruses in the X-series, the Sigma Virus, and the Zero virus. it's not the "Maverick virus". Evil energy was shown corrupting robots in rockman 8. That robot Duo fought in the intro was likely the original carrier of the virus.

  • @B4ULoveShine Might have been tied to the Megaman Zero story if that was the case which was far better in comparison. I think the reason the Megaman games on Nintendo was better because he was a big fan of Nintendo with the exception of the Legends series which was fantastic. It could also be why Megaman Legends 3 is a Nintendo 3ds exclusive because he may actually like Nintendo better than any other console.
