This was Monarch fligh 68, from London Luton to Gibraltar.
This movie shows you the landing on RWY 09. We came from the south, Street of Gibraltar. Then over the west of the Gibraltar Bay, over San Garcia and Algaciras (clearly visable) and making a vissual turn to line up with RWY 09. After landing you can see the road that crosses the runway. Note how close the ships seem to come!

  • i love monarch

  • oh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...............hard =)

  • hard landing

  • wow ganz schön hart aufgesetzt

  • Fantastic! I love landing there, even if it feels a bit dicey flying in low over the sea, to suddenly land, & hopefully miss the rock!!! :-)

  • hard landing

  • 3 Aircraft in Gib at the same time, not very often that happens. I can imagine the chaos if the daily BA flight had landed then and there!

  • WOW that approach made my Islands look bad love It Cayman Islands posting you up.

  • They really need to build a tunnel for the road that goes across the runway. It must cause terrible traffic problems.

  • I love this approach - been to GIB 7 times and each time we've landed and departed on 09 !
