The Force is all around us, young ones: Choose your force power wisely. Okay so seriously-this is a quick review of the practicality of Force Powers to a Jedi Realist. My editing really bites-but I use the OLD (as in probably the 2002 version) of Windows Movie Maker. Bah, the message is what is important, not the footage. ;) Oh, and the dog...yeah...can't control the dog-sorry, lol.

  • anakin will kill her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @BadAngel616 Detainees didn't kill her, so I highly doubt a fictional character could even try. :P

  • Even though pyrokineses or other such abilities might seem useless in a practical manner, perhaps for the individual it does something positive for them personally, or allows them to get closer towards something that is useful. *Shrugs.*

  • @Crystalfeathers4 After an experience in high school, I found myself spiraling downward spiritually, and was eventually lead to Force Academy where I realized that I had a lot more skills which could ACTUALLY help others, rather than just pretend I could help them find the answers in a tarot deck or on their palms. And the skills aren't special at all. I don't need to be special anymore. Just my opinion though. :) It's nice to meet you Crystalfeathers. ^^

  • @Setanaoko Nice to meet you too. :D I also congratulate you for finding a spiritual path that is positive in your life.

    What I was referring to when I was mentioning the potential benefit of seemingly useless abilities was not so much just feeling special- it goes beyond that. Let's go back to pyrokinesis: maybe from that a person learns self-discipline. Maybe for another manipulating flames brings a sense of peace. Admittedly, most would want to learn the skill to show off. :P

  • @Crystalfeathers4 Ah, you know I had never considered that aspect. :) Great prospective! :)

  • @Crystalfeathers4 I don't know, as a teenager I was one of those Wiccans that thought it was the coolest thing in the world to have an ability that was able to captivate people around me (I did tarot and palm reading for fun). But I never moved beyond these things because I had a low idea of my self worth.

  • @Crystalfeathers4 I can see how that might work out, but really I only see it from the "I have such low self-esteem that I need this power to be special" prospective. And isn't that one of the obstacles Real Jedi try to overcome? We want each person to move beyond thinking lowly of themselves and believe they are worth more so that they may be able to help the world around them as best they can.

  • @theclash24 I don't actually worship "the Force". But I do believe that science can explain a great deal of things- just some of those explanations haven't been reached quite yet. Math is just one means of explaining it all. :) But not everyone is scientifically inclined, they are more spiritually inclined to believe things, therefore sometimes you need to reach out to that part of them in order to help them better comprehend the world around them. (I'm a psychology student)

  • Force = Mass x Energy

    Energy = MC squared.

    If anything you should worship math as its the universal language, not the force :P
