2008 Polynesian Cultural Center Christmas Program. The Polynesian Cultural Center -- located in Laie, Hawaii, on Oahu's North
Shore -- has taken a page from its successful "Haunted Lagoon" Halloween
canoe ride that thrilled thousands of guests...by launching its beautiful
and touching Christmas counterpart: In "A Gift for Sadie: Christmas through
the eyes of a child," the PCC transports guests on canoes along the nightime
lagoon where Christmas lights and decorations reflect off the water. In
human tableaus with a Polynesian flavor, Sadie's mother explains the birth
of Jesus Christ and how she can enjoy symbols of the Nativity in the more
modern trappings and celebration of Christmas. PCC villagers, even Laie
school children, join in to make this new event a special way to enjoy
