What is the button or lever which the middle guy has and is pumping up and down on his harmonica? I used to have a neighbor who played harmonica with a lever, but I was too young to ask or understand what it did.

By pushing the slide button on this harmonica called a chromatic harmonica allows you to play the sharps and flats of the scale, same as when you play the black keys on the piano. Thanks for viewing.

I bought two of your LP's from a record store a few years ago and was stunned by the quality of the recording and the way you played the harmonica's. Really incredible on a nice stereo system.

@arkaburger If Mr. Gibson was fortunate enough to know Pete Pedersen, or as I call him " Uncle Pete" he met one of the coolest guys ever. A great player as well. Just for the record, Pete was a successful musician and composer and wrote most all of the arrangements for The Cats however he was never a member of the group. He was in the Harmonica Rascals. He was also Jerry Murads' best friend since they were kids in Chicago.

@sonnyrunner There's another connection between the Harmonicats and current blues harmonica players. BMA winner Billy Gibson was a student of former Harmonicat Pete Pedersen.
