custom remote mount turbo set-up i built from scratch. made to run 7psi but it lost boost in third gear due to wastegate sticking open... only trapped 105 so i know it has a lot more left in it. i ran a 13.7 @ 104 before the turbo. i need a higher stall so i can actually launch the car. holding boost it'll trap 114mph but it will only do 2.0 60 foots.

60' - 1.982
1/4 - 12.997
mph - 105.69

  • ehhh that thing has soo much more potential! My stock lt1 ran 14.2s

  • @zcn1089 agreed, it wasnt holding boost on these runs, i was trapping 105mph, once i fixed the boost leak i was trapping 114mph, that's was on the bone stock 150k mile motor, now its got a forged 9.4:1 motor in it with a custom cam and LE2 heads, tranny is getting built again (fried it as soon as the new motor went in lol) and i'm putting a stall in it so i'll actaully be able to launch it

  • @xtremechvycamaro hell yea man now thats the way to do it! Currently waiting for the summer to buy the LE2 package!

  • are you only running a turbo on a stock lt1? im doing 13.0 @ 104 in vegas with only bolt ons tune full exhuast 1.6 rockers 373 grs and intake with tire

  • @xtremechvycamaro yeah...man I wish I lived in AZ haha

  • @wildbloodydragon haha yeah, pretty sure the tune played a big role in it. and the turbo is creating energy from wasted exhaust energy.

it took me about two months to get everything together for the build, i happen to score some really good deals while i was putting everything together which really helped me cut costs. and over the last 14 months or so i've just been adding more! lol

i would build a kit for someone locally, but it's too hard to build a kit that i can guarantee will fit any car

  • @xtremechvycamaro hahaha damn, better gas mileage with 42lbs injectors? nice...

I seen your handmade setup on the forums. Amazing how you did it at such a low cost...would you put a kit together for other people too?

  • @wildbloodydragon actually the best the car did stock was a 14.5 lol and 13.7 on a 50 shot of nitrous. i put in a racetronix kit (walbro 255 fuel pump) and ford racing 42lb injectors. with the turbo and tune it actually gave me 2-3mpg BETTER gas mileage :]

  • @xtremechvycamaro Sick car man, the turbo shaved a good second off it. Now once you start modifying the rest that's when you get the real results. what else did you put on it? Did you have to change the injectors?

I got a 94 LT1 white with black top just like yours lol...I use it for commute and everything but I want more punch. I was wondering how much worse the gas mileage is when you put in the turbo?

  • i just posted a video taken from half track in the video reponses
