I tried this every way possible in my Ubuntu 11.10, but no luck, always get all black screen.
Tried many versions of Wine. I am running it on a i7 with a NVS 3100M.
Any suggestions?

Out of all of the game engines that i have worked with i like unreal the best for fps games and the world editor is amazing. but from what i have experienced it is a pain in the ass to get working on low end systems. Unity is a great engine that updates code automatically and can be run on lower end systems, but has a shitty world editor.
@raven67854 have you ever thought of making a tutorial on exporting .fbx from unreal to unity?
and can u give the specs on ur pc

@raven67854 kool cause im still waiting on how to import animated character plus custom billboards into HE no rush as im playing arround with it and trying to figure it out but alittle help goes along way :D

Not a fan of Ubuntu, but nice to know Unity runs somewhat good with Wine. Did you try to use PlayOnLinux? Maybe it runs better with a different version of Wine and a pre-made install script.

No didn't try PlayOnLinux. It runs just fine on it's own. Don't think playonlinux has anything for Unity anyways. Think I'll do a check though. But I will say that it runs pretty good. Just has a few quirks. But far as performance it does run fast which is the main thing :).
