  • Hope they're stil in jail, preferably prison. All the ignorant internet heros defending these environmentalist criminals, answer this.

If a group showed up at your home, said they didn't like what you were doing, then proceeded to push you out of the way and/or restrain you, while some of them crawled up on your house & erected a banner ..... would you STLL be defending the idiots?

If you just answered yes to that question, you are quite obviously an idiot just as they are ..... and a liar.

  • hey I have two words for all of you protesting coal- Deepwater Horizon! Ha! Where the hell were you enviromentalists on that one? You all really dropped the ball, I guess.

  • Dear Tree-Huggers,

You like your lights kept on dontcha? & you like your heat in the winter & your A.C. in the summer.? Guess what, coal lets you have all that. Oh and guess what,? They arent "destroying" or "raping" the mountains either. They actually make the mountains look BETTER So stop your complaining and shut your tree-huggin mouths,.kthanks<3

-The DAUGHTER of the MINER who told the tree-huggers to "Get your $**t & get outta here"

  • haha this is laughable hence the haha environmental idiots

  • If they don't like it, they all should stop using electricity. More people should make power on their own property.

  • @246alive I agree that those are alternatives.. but what about areas without constant sunlight ,strong winds, large rivers, lakes, or reservoirs? What about the fact that the building block of the modern world, STEEL, requires coal to create coke? None of you environmentalists ever mention coking coal - but it is an essential part of industry. And who has the best and most plentiful stockpile of coking coal in the world? We do! Let's take advantage of what is at our fingertips.

  • @offamychain they did not destroy or blow up mountains to build my home.

by the way these people would be welcome in my house with open arms. they can hang it in front of my house put a sign on my lawn. why would they push me out of the way for helping the put the sign up?

and i am not a liar those are my honest beliefs but unlike yo i have facts.

the only ignorant person here is you.

please get some facts on the subject of mtr before posting.

mountain top removal is a CRIME.

  • @dgrub coal has long outlived itself as being worthy of a fuel source

even natural gas fracking is better

if coal disappeared today what would replace it

natural gas, nuclear, solar, wind, hydro electric and much more would just replace the coal.

coal companies lobby to prevent other forms of energy.

the coal companies try to keep jobs out of west virginia other then the coal jobs so that if a wv citzen speaks against mtr they lose their job.

we can have jobs and the enviroment. its true.

  • @bapyou We don't have AMD in southern WV. That's a northern occurance. Nice try. It has to do with iron in the rock, which is rare down here. For the record, West Virginia wouldn't even exist if it weren't for coal. We would not have had the industrial revolution if it weren't for coal. And we would not have won our wars if it weren't for coal. I am all for the protection of the environment - but at what cost? Losing all of our jobs? Yeah, that'd be a big win!

  • It's not "Public Domain" If the property is owned by a land holding company, which is it.

  • @SirCoughsalot Not true. The coal companies preferred coal happens to be mountain coal for one reason. It is the highest quality naturally occurring coal (anthracite) because of it's placement in what-once-were plains which existed on subduction zones. These subduction zones are boundaries where mountain building occurs and, in turn, embedded coal is exposed to ever greater magnitudes of pressure, making it higher quality. That's why we mine mountain coal. Source: I am a Mining Engineer
