he didn't have anything left after the 3R. in every angle of the replay, that knee didn't even land. actually, what landed, and it's clear in the replay at the end of the 3R, was the open-palm left that he threw gouging the right eye. and he followed up with an open-palm right to the left eye. the cuts under cerrone's eyes at the end of the 3R were from those strikes. then, at the press conference, he excused himself because he claimed that he had been kneed in the eye, which he clearly wasn't.

DONALD CERRONE IS THE BADDEST MOTHERFUCKER TO EVER STEP FOOT IN THE CAGE. He walked through everything Varner threw at him and was about to finish that faggot in the 5th.... Varner took the easy way out.
