Wow! It has been a year ago! :) Thank you for responding. I think it was a polyp or at least so said my doctor. So far, it has not happened again so I guess all is well. Thank you for your input.
My husband had some bleeding when he first started doing nasal irrigation, and the Dr said it was from his chronic sinus infection. It stopped after a couple of days. He didn't have blood poring out of his nose tho. Are you using a neti pot or the bottle?
I did this once. While in the process of doing this, I felt something burst in my upper sinus area and blood began to pour (a constant stream) out of my nose for 3 or 4 minutes. Any idea as to why that may have happened?

That sounds like a polyp or blood capsule burst. Something to get checked out either way. Although this was posted a year ago...
