Total August Forever: 10/11 complete. Yes, I'm missing one... I didn't end up getting "2 Trees" done when I was in Colorado. I apologize for all of you who were waiting especially for that one.
// On the "Complete Mercurys" interview session, Foals mentioned that while recording this song, all of them played drum machines live several times through to create a very layered percussion track. This cover showcases me ATTEMPTING to play this incredibly complex percussion track (or tracks) by myself. I sincerely hope you all think I did this song justice.
And while I somewhat failed at it, "Total August Forever"--I'm still calling it "August" because each cover I posted was indeed filmed in August--was one of the most challenging and rewarding goals I've ever set for myself. I wholeheartedly thank all of you who stuck around with me until the end.
P.S. So now, I'm in college. The whole "finding a drum set" situation has been tricky. Covers won't be as frequent. But they will come eventually... my guess is you'll be seeing some brand new (non-Foals) covers starting to surface in early to mid October. I'll keep you all posted.
