Maybe its a clever saftey design in that no matter which way around the battery is , it can do no harm but will work only one way.

Nice video! btw the reason that the camera didn't work when you had the battery in backwards is because of the whole positive negitive thing. Hope that helped.

yes, i understand the whole pos/neg thing. my point is that battery design should prevent backwards insertion, much the same as the SD card can only go in one way. the print on the battery is hard to read and it's easy to make a mistake. it would save a little time if it had a diagonal corner, like almost every other battery for consumer electronics. thanks for watching! clyde
