I took this footage from the deck of NOAA's research vessel "Shearwater" between Malibu and Ventura, California on August 18th, 2009. Mother dolphins usually hang back and do not surf on the bow of ships. Shearwater Captain Terrance Shinn said that in his thirty years on the water he had never seen such a thing. If you look closely, you can see three mothers with their babies all at once in the same shot.
my son and his friend had a pod of baby dolphins along their sailboat...this is not the video but showing what they experienced. the sound I believe is the wind in the sails.

This is a wonderful video. I've shared it to my facebook page, 'London against cetacean slaughter' - hope you don't mind. It's simply fabulous!
