Well, this is the first time ever, to my knowledge, that EJ&E units have been on the CN Freeport Sub. First shot is in Wallace Yard, Freeport IL, the second shot is of the train swithcing at West Junction in Wallace Yard, and the third shot is the train leaving West Junction. Filmed on the late night of Friday February 13th 2009, and early morning of February 14th 2009.

  • love the sound

  • Sent south to be sold off to some line in TX, I hear.

  • They had the strobes on? Wow.

  • Well, they weren't freshly rebuilt like the Js

  • Dude there going to end up just like the DMIRs strait to the deadline.

  • I think they'll stay around awhile, all but 3 or so of them were rebuilt within the last few years. I just worry about CN puking on them, like they did with one of the DMIR SD38s. I think a lot of them will be put into switcher service. Hopefully CN dosen't get any Gensets because that might wipe these out along with the GP38s.
