  • Rated 643@ 1800, cranking out 450. A bit shy, it appears.

  • A 2 stroke diesel engine needs the blower, a 2 stroke diesel is considered naturally aspirated if it only has the blower.

  • @ollonsvin His first enging Explodes killing his asistant and nearly killed him too , His next engine was a 4 stroke the fly wheel is like 12 feet acrosst , He never saw his engins in production He killed himself by jumping off a boat , I read a book on him a few years ago

  • in australia the 8V92TA was rated 475 horsepower,

it possable it would make that with the intercooler fitted.

  • @MattytheDem TAB is twin turbo ,not TT like many think. TT stands for "tailored torque" which first came about in 1978 or 9.Those were the "fuel squeezer engines".

  • @The215x Rudolf diesels first engine was not 2-stroke,it was a four stroke

  • @kblackav8or and to the next person that wants to call it a supercharger: its a SCAVENGING BLOWER NOT A FUCKING SUPERCHARGER!!!!!!!!!!

  • @kblackav8or a motor that DID use the blower as a supercharger was the 275 or 300 horse iron lung cummins motors of the early 50s

  • @kblackav8or and also this motor would be an 8v92TTA because it has 2 turbos instead of one

  • @MattytheDem I know that. In fact I said that. I have to keep correcting the idiots that call them superchargers.

  • @kblackav8or a Detroit will not run without the blower

  • @The215x the blower on a detroit creates very little pressure. since the detroit has a sealed crank it makes no bottom end pressure to self scavenge. the blower is just there to move air through the motor. i believe it makes no more than 5 or 6 psi, i could be wrong on the psi though
