I know every single actor and actress in this pilot and what makes it all the better is it's in the Barkley Mansion....sigh...nothing could make it better(:

Thanks so much, HeyDey! Where did you find this?

When Bette arrived at the mansion, she should have said, "What a dump!" And by the way, underneath all of that tacky decoration on the front porch you can see the pillared facade of the Barkley mansion set from "The Big Valley".

Hilarious.

This show reminded me of "The Beverly Hillbillies," "Green Acres," and "Petticoat Junction." Fun stuff.

You're right and wrong. The Plymouth was a '56 and the Ford was a '64.

I love the taxi ride from the airport to the house. The long shot being a 1957 Plymouth and the close up a 1965 Ford. Wonderful continuity.
Its a masterpiece compared to what passes as a hit TV show nowadays...

1:35 Bette Davis hasn't cackled that well since she served a rat to a wheelchair ridden Joan Crawford. What a long lost gem of a scene!
