Correction Nepal Became the poorest country after the political leaders took over after King Birendra gave up power to the people. Its just so dumb to blame JUST the Kings and Ranas. Yes they did less for the people BUT the Fact is that though Nepal was poor back in the Days, we were still a developing Asian country ranked along Malaysia, Singapore etc. Krishi Pradhan desh, almost announced the most peaceful country in the world. corruption by Netas created Maoists and you know the rest. wakeup.

it is not india who forces gurkhas but gurkhas insist to join the indian army rather then nepalese army!!

Nepal became one of the poorest counties because the shah-rana government discriminated the indigenous communities. The shah-rana rulers made Nepal as a tool for making money for them but not for the nation. For example according to Deepak Bhatt of Combat Law, the top position of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) remained with only four clans. That is for close to 200 years, among the 37 chiefs of staff, 26 came from the Rana family and the remaining 11 from the Thapa, Shah and Basnet clans.

Let me first say that as an Indian I have highest respect for Nepal and its people.

Now, your point is wrong that all Indian are agaist Gurkhaland......also dividing a state (WB) will lead to many other demands. As far as I know, Indian army hires mostly "Nepali citizens"(Gurkha regiments) , infact it would be wise to have "Indian gurkhas" from Darjeling instead in order to avoid future problems........

I would also like if Indian army hires more people from rest of India......

the so called gorkhas in darjeling are migrants from nepal....see-history, secondly to get a state the WB govt and it's MP's must approve it....since WB CPM govt is against it ...it is not possible to have a separate state

and gurkhas r brave...nobody denies that....ur ppl hav fought 4 india too dats happened only bcoz we r friends...u cant fight 4 a country if u hate india...but dats not da case.....youtube is used by only 5% indians and here only handful indians r commenting so dont think that all indians hates u...its da other way around

no dude in kashmir there r armies from many indian regiments not just gurkha...and in chinese borders india hav deployed 60000 soldiers many of them from other regiments...gurkha regiment is a part of indian armed force so like any regiments they are also deployed...i did'nt said gorkhas r afraid of terrorists...and make it clear indian armed forces r not afraid of anybody...thats y we r still holding kashmir and arunachal pradesh..china was forced to accept sikkim as part of india..

let me tell you loud and clear Gorkhali are not afraid to fight with terrorist but what india doing is that they always keep Gorkhali on the frontline whether you have your own people as you told me that your soldier are mighty but afraid to fight with paki now and afraid to fight with Chinese too.

its bcoz due to tri party agreement both india and UK can keep gurkha regiment and if any nepali citizen applies they cant shoo them away..and india or say UK(which also facing unemployment) or any country in da world cant just discard a well established regiment..so nepalis r free 2 apply...and gurkha regiment has majority of gurkhas from india not just from nepal..so india does'nt look 4 nepali nationals its u who come here to join bcoz we hav our own nepali ppl too to join gurkha regiment
