The Jubilee Project "Days in Africa" series is a glimpse of the lessons, stories and adventures we're experiencing during our time in Africa. In Lusaka, Zambia, where Jason is living the HIV percentage is nearly 20% meaning that about one in five people have the disease. We hope that you'll join us in learning more about this serious disease and fighting back.

HIV/AIDS is a serious disease that has claimed millions of lives for several decades. While there is no cure, the development of Antiretroviral drugs has reduced the mortality and severity of the disease. Unfortunately, lack of funding for ARV drugs and limited HIV testing has allowed this epidemic to continue spreading particularly in African countries.

  • I'm glad to have taken part in research to prevent mother to child transmission of HIV...videos like these put in perspective how widespread the issue is and how urgently action is needed to help the Africans.
