@TexasPediatrics very true, the season pass is the worst thing to happen to theme parks. I went to Six Flags Arlington last year and it was just horrible.

@TexasPediatrics exactly

Astroworld was not Houston's only theme park as stated in the video description. Who remembers Busch Gardens?

So you are claiming that Reliant wanted the Astroworld/Waterworld land?! Lol, a single person owns the Astroworld land and uses it for parking for the Reliant. Astroworld/Waterworld was a failure for failing to update or upgrade any rides that weren't 6-flags required.

The title of this video is "A brief history of Astroworld." Yet you failed to mention what it was that drove Astroworld into the ground. Parents began leaving their kids in record numbers during the summer, so that they would not have to pay for daycare, because the season tickets were much cheaper. After a couple of weeks of this the kids got bored and formed gangs. It became unsafe to visit the park. Six flags should have eliminated the season tickets and the problems would have been solved.

Thanks for the tip. Looks like a very ambitious project. Hopefully, it can overcome its obstacles and be built.

@DrDupe A new theme park "Earthquest" is being built in New Caney, TX! Google it.

When you close amusement parks, the terrorists win. Have you seen any roller coasters in the middle east? I didn't think so. To ever closed Astroworld, your new name is bin Laden.

I just returned from Texas, what a beautiful place!! Yes, I agree, Six Flags has effectively ruined the American roller coaster experience.
