Not only is this just one immaculate Mk IV Sprite, this is a fully documented, one-owner California car that is rust-free, accident free and includes all of the original parts that were ever changed out! The original sales receipt is included and all of the repair orders dating back to 1967! It is so rare to see this sort of recording-keeping! Car was purchased in July of 1967 from Sunnyvale British Motors. It even has it's original black and gold California license plates! It sports factory competition suspension parts, cast wheels, limited slip rear end, and an engine rebuild done around 60K (well maintained) miles back. By mid 1977 it had covered 110K miles and was put into storage. Around 1980 a substancial amount of cosmetic work was completed including a repaint of the original color, new top, tonneau cover, rugs, windshield and more. It was driven briefly to it's current 120K miles then once again retired indoors until now.

Car has been gone through after storage and is 100% roadworthy, ready for super long drives or just cruising around town. Compression is 140 in each cylinder. The clutch was just replaced. The car runs and drives magnificently! Owner is now in his 70's and it's a bit difficult to get in and out of.

If you are looking for an amazing Sprite with great history and documentation, this car should be seriously considered.

  • Your car is in great condition! I have a 67 sprite myself in the original Tartan red need some work on it ,but hopefully one day as good as yours. Seems strange to see the clutch master & brake master cylinder on the other side to mine

  • looks pretty darn good... It'd be nice to see the oil pressure when the engine's warm.
